Concert promotion and artist development company AEG Presents has appointed Jay Belin as its vice-president of international touring.
Belin brings more than 17 years of live music experience and will be responsible for delivering major concerts across Europe with the AEG Presents Global Touring division.
He will report directly to the division’s senior vice-presidents Michael Harrison and Simon Jones, and will be based in the New York office before moving to AEG Europe’s headquarters in London.
Melanie Lewis has been made chair of the board of trustees by the Association for Cultural Enterprises.
She is currently chief executive of the Shakespeare North Playhouse and will take over as chair next month following the Cultural Enterprises Conference where incumbent will step down after eight years in the role.
“The Association for Cultural Enterprises is an important organisation within our sector and plays a vital role delivering best practice, innovation and collaboration opportunities for our members,” Lewis said.
“The role of the Association is more important now than ever and so I’m excited to support Gordon and the team to achieve its ambitious plans. I’m thrilled to be the next Chair – it is an organisation that has supported me throughout my career and so I’m keen to give back.”
Australian ticketing company TEG Group has appointed SWXW Sydney’s head of marketing and commercial partnerships, Simon Cahill, as its head of commercial.
Cahill will continue to oversee the commercial interest of SXSW Sydney as well as being responsible for all of TEG’s commercial activity.

ASM Global has made Karin Sinclair the new general manager of Södra Teatern.
Sinclair joins from Scandic Hotels where she has held several senior positions including hotel director for hotels in Stockholm and Gothenburg.
Sinclair is due to start the new job in May at the Stockholm theatre which was inaugurated in 1859.
“I look forward to being involved in further developing the offer and getting even more people to experience concerts, events and nightlife at Stockholm’s most beautiful entertainment centre. In particular, I look forward to working with the entire ASM Global and Södra Teatern team,” she said.
Becky Gardenhire has been added to the We Are Giant board of directors and will also serve as a strategic advisor to chief executive Andy Apple. She is currently co-head of talent agency WME’s Nashville office and has helped to develop the careers of top country music artists such as Reba McEntrie, Rascal Flatts, and Sara Evans.
“Becky is a force, and her expertise at artist development has been integral to the careers of some of the most successful artists in Music City,” said Apple.
“What she’s accomplished at WME over the past two decades aligns with We Are Giant’s commitment to helping artists build long-term careers with a dedicated community of fans. Her appointment to our board of directors is a great milestone for our company and will propel us to new heights. It is truly an honor to have her on the board.”
Wasserman Music has hired four executives to its worldwide agent team with Josh Dick and Jonathan Insogna joining as vice-presidents while Rebecca Prochnik and Gideon Royale sign on as directors.
