    Roland Garros goes 100% mobile

Roland Garros has unveiled its updated app for 2024 as it prepares to switch to 100% mobile ticketing for this year’s French Open.

From today (Wednesday) until February 12, Roland Garros licensees will be able to secure their tickets for the 2024 French Open. These licence holders will also benefit from a 10% reduction on general public prices. The general public ticket office will then open from March 13.

Roland Garros officials said a100% mobile service has several advantages, including the ability to use a single ticket from the start to the end of the journey and removal of paper vouchers. This dynamic and secure ticket will reduce inspection time, and all information will now be readily available on a single platform.

The updated app features tennis news, articles, videos and photos. Users can also follow live matches during the tournament, find stats about every player and get notifications about their favourites.

In the “Spectators” area, those at the venue will easily find information about life around stadiums, and what events and activities are available and accessible through their phone with an animated map. They will also be able to get their entrance tickets, vouchers for the shops and pre-order meals.

Janam unveils new mobile entry pedestal

Janam Technologies has unveiled its next-generation mobile entry pedestal. Janam’s new GTX builds on Janam’s GT1 mobile entry pedestal to improve ingress and elevate the patron experience with a focus on versatility and affordability.

Like its predecessor, GTX is powered by a Janam mobile computer (ticket scanner) that is inserted into the top portion of the unit. With GTX, venues can deploy the same access system that is already in use, in either handheld or mobile pedestal format, depending on their specific needs.

Harry B. Lerner, CEO at Janam Technologies, said: “Janam is not just leading the way in access control; we’re redefining it. GTX enables venues around the world to effortlessly and affordably transform their new or existing cutting-edge Janam scanners into state-of-the-art mobile pedestals. Venues don’t need to modify anything else. Their existing Janam scanners are half the solution; GTX completes it for them. And GTX’s winning features and improvements will make it even more indispensable as a trusted solution for rapid venue access.”
