People on the Move: Co-op Live, Live Nation Entertainment and more…

We round up the latest movements from the ticketing sector and associated industries…

Following a tumultuous week that saw its grand opening delayed last week until at least later this month, Rebecca Kane Burton, formerly in charge of The O2 arena and Sodexo Live, has been announced as the interim leader at Co-op Live. The £365m ($456m/€427m) venue in Manchester is set to become the UK’s biggest indoor venue when it opens.

Tom Lynch (pictured left) has announced that he is starting a new position as President, Venues (EMEA) at Live Nation Entertainment.

In the role, he will lead Live Nation’s venue strategy across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, looking after established facilities such as Ziggo Dome Amsterdam while developing new arenas, theatres, clubs, and outdoor music venues.

Prior to the move to Live Nation, Lynch had served as group commercial director and senior vice-president, Europe at ASM Global, based at Manchester’s AO Arena.

Erica Whyman (pictured right) has stepped down as chair of Theatre503 while the organisation has appointed five new trustees to its board.

“I have loved being Chair of Theatre503,” said Whyman.

“It has been a privilege and a pleasure. Serving as Chair has kept me close to and inspired by artists at the very beginning of their career and able to engage in a wide-ranging and courageous dialogue about the future of playwriting, about how we become a truly inclusive industry, and about how we imagine new business models and new ways of working so that theatre can thrive.”

Joshua Chua, Pippa Hill, Naomi Kerbel, Kandy Rohmann, Cerian Walsh will support Theatre503’s leadership in their new roles. Tiana Brown-Sampson has also been made an associate trustee.

Meanwhile more opportunities open up: Los Angeles-based Angel City FC is hiring for a new head of sponsorship and ticketing as it looks to drive revenue growth and overall success.

The role comes with an attractive base salary of between $200,000 and $250,000. Check out our Jobs section for further details on this and other roles.
