Major League Cricket (MLC) tickets have been placed on general sale for the 2024 season, following sell-out crowds during the league’s inaugural campaign last year.

The competition will begin on July 5 with 2023 champions MI New York facing the Seattle Orcas in Morrisville, North Carolina, followed by the Texas Super Kings vs LA Knight Riders at Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas.

Tickets for all matches, including the four play-offs, are now available online through the MLC website. General admission tickets will begin at $30 (£24/€28) per person.

“The enthusiasm for cricket in America is increasing rapidly, and we are delighted to provide fans across the nation the opportunity to witness top-tier cricket live in their own backyard,” said MLC chief executive Vijay Srinivasan.

“We are gathering the world’s top players and organising a spectacular event in the largest sporting market globally. The success of the first season has given us a foundation to establish one of the premier T20 leagues in the world. Our goal is to keep expanding the sport in the US and offer the community an opportunity to engage with it, whether as fans or participants.

“We are pleased to announce that season two tickets are on sale and encourage our fans to get their tickets quickly to ensure they don’t miss out on the action.”

The US is set to host the men’s ICC T20 World Cup next month, with organisers unveiling the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, a temporary venue that will be home to games in New York.
