Durham Cricket has entered into a multi-year agreement with Secutix which will serve as its new ticketing technology partner.
Following a tender process, Durham selected Secutix because of its “impressive track record in cricket” and the control that its technology will give the club over its ticketing operations.
The agreement will see the launch of the first Durham Cricket app for secure mobile tickets later this season, although an exact date is yet to be announced for its release.
“I’d had first-hand experience of the platform with The Hundred and was impressed,” said Durham Cricket marketing director David Jackson.
“With their strong market share in cricket and knowledge of the sport, the Secutix team understands our commercial needs and those of our fans.
“This partnership gives us the flexibility to adapt the ticketing platform to our requirements. We can now quickly implement the changes we want to make to ticket prices and offers, and the improved interface for ticket buyers will give fans a better service.”
The club will be able to use Secutix’s full suite of solutions which include the S-360 SaaS platform, digital ticketing app TIXNGO, and omnichannel payment tool S-PAY.
Secutix’s current cricket clients include The Hundred, ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2024, and county sides Lancashire, Somerset, Surrey, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire.
“We’re excited to bring our leading technology to another great cricket club and give David and his team full control over their ticketing requirements,” said managing director of Secutix Northern Europe, UK & Ireland David Hornby.
“We understand cricket and are constantly evolving the platform with innovations and automation which we know will benefit the sport. This means Durham will always have the latest technologies at their disposal to create a first-class ticketing experience for their fans.”
