International festival access to be enhanced
Regula, a developer of identity verification solutions, has partnered with Hungarian IT service provider Netpositive in a move that is aimed at transforming access to international music festivals.
The collaboration will see them switch to a mobile ID verification which makes Netpositive’s ticketing system “an even more valuable asset for event organisers”.
“Our collaboration with Netpositive not only showcases the importance of robust and efficient identity verification, but also sets a new standard for access management in large-scale events,” read a Regula statement.
“We are proud to contribute to creating safer and more efficient event experiences around the globe.”
Only one multi-purpose mobile device will be required instead of a multitude, including POS terminals and barcode readers.
Report into public Wi-Fi offerings for venues
The Wireless Broadband Alliance has released a report that offers best practice on developing a venue’s business case for public Wi-Fi.
This includes how to improve user engagement with the use of OpenRoaming and Passpoint technology over legacy captive portal Wi-Fi.
“This report underscores the critical need for industry stakeholders to prioritise user engagement in Wi-Fi network design and operation,” said Wireless Broadband Alliance chief executive Tiago Rodrigues.
Convious collaborates with Axess
eCommerce platform Convious has entered into a strategic partnership with point-of-sale provider Axess.
It is said that clients will benefit from improved conversion, easier management of online and offline sales, and rigorous access control.

Detroit City FC signs CHEQ
Cantaloupe, Inc.’s CHEQ point-of-sale system has been selected as the exclusive platform for professional football team Detroit City FC at its home ground of Keyworth Stadium.
It is a mobile-first payments platform for venues and features mobile ordering, pick-up points, and express kiosks to increase ordering efficiency and decrease wait times.
“Creating a best-in-class experience for our fans on game day is incredibly important for our organisation,” said co-owner and chief operating officer at Detroit City FC Todd Krupp.
“Our partnership with Cantaloupe to leverage the CHEQ platform will allow us to provide a new level of innovation and engagement to our fanbase during the upcoming season.”
