Australian cricket has announced a Golden Ticket lottery with ticket-holders able to win money-can’t-buy prizes if they are successful in the draw.

Any fans who have bought tickets for upcoming international matches will be entered into the Cricket Australia draw. Six lucky winners will experience a pitch walk, a behind the scenes tour, a meet and greet with an Australian player, a ticket upgrade to corporate hospitality and receive a bat signed by both teams.

The lottery is open to all those who purchase tickets for either the NRMA Insurance Men’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series between Australia and India or the CommBank Women’s Ashes Test by June 30.

Record Cricket Australia sales

The Golden Ticket launch came as Cricket Australia announced that day one of the presale for this year’s internationals saw the largest number of tickets sold on a single day outside of a men’s Ashes series.

Entry level prices to men’s international matches have been frozen for the ninth consecutive year. Prices start from $30 for adults and $10 for children.

Nick Hockley, Cricket Australia CEO said: “Test Match ticket buyers will be eligible for our new Golden Ticket promotion, from which lucky winners will enjoy a special experience at the Border-Gavaskar Test series or the Women’s Ashes Test.

“Yet again there will be no increase in entry level prices, including for kids and families, so that as many fans as possible can be there to witness these historic series.”
