Ticketmaster partners with Hackney Church

Ticketmaster is set to serve as Hackney Church’s exclusive ticketing partner after the two entered into a partnership.

The collaboration aims to enhance the London venue’s marketing reach and ensure a seamless ticketing experience for fans using the Ticketmaster Local discoverability platform.

Ticketmaster Local was launched last year and aims to encourage support for grassroots and local venues by helping people discover nearby live events.

It allows fans to explore local events through a location-base map, a newsletter, and a dedicated social media channel.

“Despite the ongoing economic challenges of running a Venue of our size, we are looking ahead with confidence that we will be able continue to deliver high quality events and positively impact the local community in Hackney,” said Hackney Church’s experience director Thando Zulu.

“We are proud to partner with Ticketmaster and their mission to support local venues. It is an exciting step on our continued journey of being a ‘cathedral of creativity’”.

Tim Goom, client development director of music at Ticketmaster, added: “Hackney Church is an iconic venue, a cornerstone of East London’s culture and community.

“We look forward to bringing our ticketing expertise to elevate the fan experience and keep pushing the venue’s mission of creativity and connection.”

In 2021, the 1,800-capacity Hackney Church reopened after a restoration. It has hosted artists such as Ed Sheeran, Sampha, Biffy Clyro and Joy Crookes.

Both Ticketmaster and Hackney Church work with the Music Venue Trust in what is said to be “a commitment to supporting local talent”.
