Portsmouth Football Club has sold out its 15,000 season tickets for the 2024-25 season which will see the team play in the EFL Championship for the first time since 2012.

Sales were helped with the release of the fixture list, which sees newly relegated Luton Town the first of 23 away teams to visit Fratton Park. The Hatters are due to play Portsmouth on August 17.

Several hundred fans missed out on tickets but are in line for future seasons.

“The majority of season ticket-holders from last term renewed, with the final 300 snapped up by supporters on the second day of the waiting list opening,” read a club statement.

“Those fans on the waiting list who did not get the opportunity to purchase this year will keep their current position for future seasons.

“It is the second year running that the club has sold all season tickets, which are capped at 15,000 to ensure that seats can still be sold on a match-by-match basis.

“Portsmouth Football Club would like to thank all fans for their superb backing ahead of the new campaign.”

Portsmouth’s cheapest adult season ticket is priced at £455 ($575/€435), making it the sixth most expensive in the league.

Luton, Sheffield United, Norwich City, Sheffield Wednesday, and Middlesbrough are the only teams with more expensive season tickets. The latter tops the list with the cheapest adult season ticket price of £574.

Portsmouth is set to release details of when the first batch of individual fixture tickets will go on sale to supporters in due course.
