Some 17 LaLiga clubs had previously agreed to place a €30 (£25/$32) cap on 300 tickets for visiting fans. For the second half of the season, the average price even dropped to €29.
Of the 17 clubs, Sevilla offered the most capped away tickets at 9,632, followed by Athletic Club on 8,900. Making up the top three was Real Betis (7,961), while Valencia (7,735) and Granada CF (7,547) completed the top five.
In total, 109,654 tickets were offered and 104,841 were requested, representing 95.6% between supply and demand.
Fans that bought the most tickets throughout the season were those of Real Betis at 5,918, Sevilla (5,101) Atlético de Madrid (5,032), Athletic Club (4.870) and UD Las Palmas (4,752).
“We are very happy with the results obtained during the first season. The clubs have been grateful and so have the fans. We hope that Looking ahead to next season, more clubs will join and we can make this an even bigger and more beneficial agreement for the fans,” said Víctor Martín, head of the chairman’s office at LaLiga.
Alfredo García, general director of Granada CF, added: “Almost 5,000 visiting fans have been able to benefit from this agreement promoted by LaLiga to access the Los Cármenes stadium at a reasonable price. That combines what we have always intended with this initiative, which is the coexistence between hobbies within an environment of peace and cordiality, and to be able to enjoy everything that a wonderful city like our Granada offers you.”
Elsewhere, Liga F – the top division of women’s football in Spain – witnessed a 13% increase in attendance. During the 2023-24 season, major stadiums in Spain hosted 15 games (in addition to SD Eibar which plays all its matches in Ipurúa), including the match between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid which saw 38,707 in the stands of the Olympic Lluís Companys.
