Liga Plenitude is the top division of men’s handball in Spain.
The Galician club welcomed 2,127 fans across the 2023-24 season, which ran between September last year and April.
Following close behind, ABANCA Ademar León welcomed 1,855 fans and Recoletas At. Valladolid was supported by 1,823 during the most recent season, which was won for the 31st time by Barcelona.
Bathco BM. Torrelavega and Bada Huesca made up the top five, welcoming 1,740 and 1,637 fans, respectively.
Additionally, two clubs have witnessed commendable growth in attendance, with Huerta del Rey welcoming 1,823 compared to 1,480 fans the previous season, and Palau d’Esports de Granollers increasing its crowd numbers from 1,219 to 1,515.
Liga Plenitude also reported that all clubs, with the exception of ABANCA Ademar León, increased their attendances across the 2023-24 season.
ASOBAL, the organisation behind the league, further revealed that the trend has continued over the last few years. During the 2023-24 season, 307,364 fans attended all games, compared to 296,500 in 2022-23 and 233,264 in 2021-22.
