Ticketmaster’s latest integration with Shazam presents another way for fans to discover tickets to live events via social, entertainment and music apps.

Shazam joins the likes of TikTok and Snapchat, with the integration available in all Ticketmaster markets. The app is used to identify music based on a sample using the microphone of the device.

Artists will be able to link their Ticketmaster events directly in the app, so that fans can see where they are next playing after identifying a song.

Ticketmaster first partnered with TikTok in 2022 before taking the collaboration global at the end of last year.

A campaign was launched with artists such as Meghan Trainor, NIKI and Peach Tree Rascals (all pictured main) to demonstrate how easy it is to find Ticketmaster events using TikTok, Snapchat and Shazam.

“At Ticketmaster, we are constantly working to enhance the live event experience. Our collaborations with platforms like Shazam are designed to make it easy for artists to connect their fans to their live events,” says Dan Armstrong, executive vice president of distributed commerce at Ticketmaster.

“By seamlessly integrating ticket purchases with moments of musical discovery, we’re not only ensuring fans never miss out on unforgettable live shows but also fostering a deeper connection with the artists they love.”

Elsewhere, Ticketmaster has teamed up with Soul Mama, a new cultural hub heading to East London. Founded by musician YolanDa Brown OBE DL, Soul Mama is scheduled to open its doors in September on the ground floor of The Gantry, a Design Hotel in Stratford.

Soul Mama will use Ticketmaster’s Universe platform for ticketing services. The platform will give event organisers complete control over creating, customising and publishing events. The new venue will also benefit from Ticketmaster Local, the ticketing company’s discoverability platform highlighting grassroots venues throughout the UK.

The space is aiming to be as versatile as possible, hosting music, comedy, fireside chats, family concerts and more.
