“His strategic insights and industry knowledge will undoubtedly strengthen our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals,” said Two Circles chief executive Gareth Balch.

Data-driven sports media, marketing, and technology company Playfly Sports has made president Craig Sloan its chief executive while founder and current chief executive Mike Schreiber will move into a new role as executive chairman.

Kathy Bourne has been elected as president of UK Theatre where she will serve a three-year term beginning this month.

“Having spent my entire career working in theatres and companies large and small across the UK, in both the commercial and subsidised sectors, I know full well our industry’s enormous value and significance for audiences and theatre-makers.

“We face many challenges but also many opportunities to support and celebrate the extraordinary work achieved across our industry.”

Julie Spencer has resigned as principal of ArtsEd, an educational institute backed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, following an independent inquiry into bullying accusations from staff and students, as reported by Deadline.

She was on medical leave when the investigation was launched and cites health reasons as the cause of her resignation.

Ghazaleh Rezaie, the barrister leading the investigation, concluded that Spencer’s relationships with ArtsEd employees were “damaged beyond repair” and that an “unhealthy environment” had developed under her leadership.

South African ticketing platform Quicket has appointed a new product manager in the form of Ashlea Stander while Yadah Brooks joins as technical writer.

Governor of New York Kathy Hochul has announced the appointment of Julie LaFave as director of The Great New York State Fair.

LaFave served as operations director in 2023 before being named interim director earlier this year. She is said to have been selected for the position following a nationwide search.
