Utilita Arena Newcastle has signed up AXS as its new ticketing partner, with the transition having taken place earlier this week.
The venue has a capacity of 11,000 and is one of the largest in the North East of England, hosting live music, comedy, entertainment, sporting events and more.
AXS’ latest partnership follows other secured deals with the likes of First Direct Arena in Leeds, Whitley Bay Playhouse, York Barbican and Connexin Live Hull.
The partnerships all form part of AXS’ growing relationship with ASM Global, which operates these venues.
Guests of Utilita Arena Newcastle will benefit from AXS Mobile ID and AXS Official Resale, helping to add another layer of security. AXS Mobile ID sees a digital ticket assigned directly to the fan attending.
“We are excited to continue our work with ASM, and welcome yet another esteemed venue to AXS,” said managing director for AXS UK, Chris Lipscomb, as per Get Into Newcastle.
“This announcement not only reflects our long-standing commitment to provide the best consumer ticketing experiences, but also allows us to continue revolutionising the ticketing industry alongside powerhouse ASM Global. With a history of delivering top-level shows and incredible new talent, we’re excited to help bring even more special moments to these venues across the UK.”
AXS also struck a major partnership with the NEC Group earlier this year, covering two of the UK’s largest live event venues – Resorts World Arena and Utilita Arena Birmingham.
