American rapper Eminem is set to headline the Soundstorm Music Festival in Saudi Arabian capital city Riyadh this December.

The event, running from December 12 to 14, is operated by Saudi music promoter MDLBeast and will also feature the likes of rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, award-winning British group Muse, Swiss DJ duo Adriatique and more.

“Soundstorm, the region’s biggest music festival, has successfully made a remarkable impact on the regional and global music scene, making it an eagerly anticipated annual festival for music fans worldwide,” MDLBeast chief executive Ramadan Al-Haratani said in a statement.

“This has contributed to enhancing the Kingdom’s position in the music entertainment sector.”

It is due to be Eminem’s live debut in Saudi Arabia with ticket prices ranging from SAR209 (£43/$55/€51) to SAR220.

Soundstorm first launched in 2019 as an electronic music event but has since evolved into a multi-genre festival.

Metallica became the first major heavy metal band to perform in the Kingdom at last year’s Soundstorm which also starred the likes of Travis Scott and Timbaland.

“Guess who’s coming,” read Soundstorm’s announcement of Eminem.

“The G.O.A.T is coming. Eminem is hitting the stage at SS24. Get your tickets now.”

In the week before the festival, Eminem and Muse are due to join Maroon 5 as headliners for this year’s Yasalam After-Race Concert Series.

The event is part of the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from December 5 to 8.
