Everton Football Club has introduced ticketing priority windows which it states “will ensure the most loyal supporters get access to match tickets”.
The change comes as the Premier League side prepares to play its final season at Goodison Park and expects an increase in demand for match tickets.
Everton took feedback from supporter groups which felt that the most loyal fans should receive priority to reward their continued attendance.
As a result, a first priority window has been introduced that sees official members with a specified number of home credits given access to purchase tickets.
Following that, the remaining tickets will be available to purchase by all official members in the second priority window.
Should any tickets remain after the previous two periods, they will be made available in a general sale.
“These process changes are designed to honour the commitment of the most dedicated supporters, ensuring match tickets remain in the hands of loyal Evertonians,” read a club statement.
“The qualifying criteria, including the specified number of credits required for the first priority window, will be released in advance of games going on sale. The criteria will ensure that tickets will always be available in both priority windows.”
Everton’s first Premier League match of the season is at home to Brighton and Hove Albion on August 17, with the first priority window opening today.
Official members with 15 or more home Premier League match credits from last season are eligible for the window.
The second window and general sale will then open tomorrow (July 24) and Thursday (July 25), respectively.
The print at home option for match tickets has been removed in a bid to stop ticket touts. As a result, fans will need to digitally download their ticket onto a mobile device.
Goodison Park is set to be replaced by Everton Stadium as the club’s home ground prior to the 2025-26 season.
