Vivaticket, a provider of integrated ticketing software solutions to the leisure and entertainment, sport, culture and tradeshow industries, has acquired Spanish ticketing operator Tecteltic Online.
Established in 2013, Tecteltic owns the brand Entradas a tu Alcance, which is used for B2C operations and sold 3.5 million tickets through its portal in 2023. Additionally, Tecteltic owns Safety Global which offers B2B solutions for access control, cashless solutions for festivals, and Order Pay with smart terminals for concert bars.
The acquisition will allow Bologna-headquartered Vivaticket to expand its reach both in Spain and internationally. Incorporated in 1999, Vivaticket sells roughly 850 million tickets a year and operates in 52 countries around the world with 21 offices.
This latest acquisition follows the purchase of Impronta in 2023, which is also based in the Spanish market.
“We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Tecteltic today, as a continuation of our international growth,” said Silvano Taiani, chief executive of Vivaticket.
“While this acquisition will consolidate the growth of Vivaticket in Spain – together, we look forward to entering new geographies and verticals through our shared objectives. We are happy to be welcoming the Tecteltic team to Vivaticket and look forward to our continued collaboration.”
Santi Sans, CEO of Tecteltic, added: “The integration of Tecteltic into Vivaticket aims to become one of the most important operators in Europe in terms of vertical integration in sectors and products such as culture, exhibitions, theme parks, sports, shows and music festivals.
“In this context, the services provided by Vivaticket and Tecteltic are reinforced by incorporating ticketing services to the operator, as well as the state-of-the-art technological consultancy, ticket validation, cashless and payment methods with intelligent data-phones as management software for concert bars.
“Furthermore, with the incorporation of Tecteltic’s team and management staff to Vivaticket’s organisation chart, the operator’s role as a strategic partner of its clients is strengthened by developing specialised departments in financial consulting, legal, marketing and branding, tax investment, human resources for events, technology for events, payments methods, sponsorships and venue management.”
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
