We round up the latest appointment news from the ticketing sector and associated industries…
Independent live music entertainment company Mammoth, which was founded in Lawrence, Kansas, has announced its new touring division to the public, which will be led by touring industry veterans Rob Owens and Angela Brown.
The pair have a combined experience of 50 years, with Owens and Brown having joined Mammoth in 2023. Owens was made president of global touring, while Brown took on the role of global tour marketing.
“I’m proud to be part of a team that has such a strong track record,” said Owens.
“We are focused on growth, creating long lasting partnerships, and continuing to expand Mammoth’s imprint domestically and internationally.”
East Asia Super League (EASL) has appointed Mark Fischer as president, as part of nine new senior appointments to strengthen its management team ahead of the 2024-25 basketball season.
Fischer was previously the chief commercial officer, and will now oversee all marketing, commercial and event operations.
Additional moves include Adam Zecha, who has been promoted to vice-president and head of commercial and broadcast operations and Mat Morgan, who has taken on the role of vice-president and head of marketing. Dominic Tang has been appointed vice-president and head of operations, while Banjo Albano has been made vice-president, business development and head of Philippines.
Hubert Ling has been appointed senior director, marketing partnerships and has joined from NBA Asia. Junji Sakata has taken on the role of commercial director, and Jay Hyun Yang has been made commercial director in South Korea. Finally, Edgar Reyes has been appointed senior advisor, broadcast production & operations.
Elsewhere, the Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has made a number of key executive hires in the lead up to AIME 2025.
John Wilson has joined as marketing director, while Kayla Elliott has taken on the role of marketing executive. Claire Graham has been appointed director of operations and content, and Nissa Ni has been made event and systems coordinator after almost 15 years at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the home of AIME.
“We are so excited to welcome John, Claire, Kayla and Nissa to the AIME team. They are already making their impact felt, bringing new ideas and inspiration as preparations for AIME 2025 continue at pace,” said event director Silke Calder.
Blue Raincoat Music, an artist management company, music publisher and record label – which is part of the Reservoir group of companies – has appointed Roman Tagoe as director of streaming for Chrysalis Records in the UK. Tagoe will be tasked with delivering streaming success across the company’s roster of frontline and catalogue artists, with the aim of driving growth and expanding global fanbases.
The Atlanta Hawks basketball team and State Farm Arena have revealed that Amanda Mann has been hired as executive vice-president and chief facilities officer. In her new role, Mann will oversee the operations of all Hawks properties, including its business offices within Centennial Tower, the Emory Sports Medicine Complex and State Farm Arena.
