Spanish football club FC Barcelona has brought live entertainment discovery platform Fever on board as its official ticketing technology partner for the next five seasons.
Barcelona’s Spotify Camp Nou stadium is currently in the midst of a major renovation thanks to the Espai Barça project. In a bid to improve fan and member experience, Fever has been appointed to ensure an accessible and efficient ticket sales process.
Fever offers multiple payment systems, both national and international, as well as 24/7 customer service. The partnership will see Fever facilitate the buying of match tickets, and tickets for events and experiences related to Barcelona.
The club is planning on reopening its new-look Camp Nou at a reduced capacity of 64,000 in December, with the venue on track to be finished by 2026. The capacity of the Camp Nou is being expanded from 98,000 to 105,000 as part of the Espai Barça plans.
“This agreement with Fever strengthens FC Barcelona’s commitment to transforming its facilities into an international hub of innovation and adopting revolutionary technology to offer a unique experience with a great range of opportunities for members and fans who come to the future Espai Barça,” said Juli Guiu, FC Barcelona’s marketing area vice president.
“This is also one of the key areas that FC Barcelona wishes to build on with regards to the refurbishment of Spotify Camp Nou, to have a personalised, 100% Barça experience worthy of the best team in the world.”
Fever will implement its technology to optimise the sales process, including systems of personalised recommendations and a safer purchase experience. Additionally, exclusive content will be developed as part of the collaboration and fans will have access to unique experiences.
Rocío Trujillo, Fever’s general manager for Southern Europe, added: “We are proud to become the official ticketing technology partner of an emblematic sports club like FC Barcelona.
“This agreement is a sign of Fever’s commitment to developing a global platform that not just provides an improved experience for the user, but also provides our partners with access to a whole world of content and technology, regardless of the entertainment of the category.”
