Applications for Australia’s Revive Live programme have now opened, with grants available to support established live music venues or contemporary music festivals.

Revive Live was announced by Australia’s government in the 2024-25 budget.

The grants will go towards supporting a sustainable operating environment to protect performance opportunities, as well as the development of original contemporary music by Australian artists.

Revive Live will also have a dedicated focus on activities that will improve accessibility and provide participation opportunities for audiences, and career pathways for musicians and music workers with a disability.

The Australian Government will provide a total of A$7.7m (£4m/€5m/$5m) in grant funding over 2024–25 for the Revive Live programme.

Revive Live has also been implemented to safeguard performance opportunities for Australian artists, while also creating a sustainable live music ecosystem in the face of rising operational costs for live music venues and festivals.

Applications for this round of funding will close on August 23.
