Kendal Calling has broken its first day ticket sales record for its 2025 edition within two hours of going live.

Next year’s festival is set to take place from July 31 to August 3 and will be the 20th anniversary of the event.

Half of all tickets available have been sold for the festival in Cumbria’s Lowther Deer Park.

“Each year, on the morning we go back on sale, we wake up with nervous flutters about how the day is going to unfold,” said Kendal Calling co-founder Andy Smith.

“Last weekend was the best show yet, but we’re only human and have the same anxieties anyone else would have.

“We needn’t have worried – you turned out this morning in record numbers, keen as we are to get back in those fields.

“This is something we will never ever take for granted and we are so excited to be working to make next year’s 20th birthday jollification the best festival we can possibly produce.”

The 2024 edition of the UK festival concluded last week and featured artists such as Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Streets, and Paolo Nutini with more than 40,000 fans attending.

Tickets are available for the 2025 Kendal Calling festival in the third release with adult weekend camping passes priced at £194.95 ($250/€225).
