Ticket marketplace Ticombo has entered into a partnership with payment infrastructure provider Mangopay.
It claims the collaboration will “transform the ticket selling and buying experience”.
Mangopay will manage Ticombo’s end-to-end payment operations. Ticombo is also due to launch a new payment service where users can store funds they receive from ticket sales and re-spend the money on other tickets available on the marketplace.
“The event experience starts at the point of the ticket purchase, which is why our mission since day one has been to put an end to unfair prices, fake tickets, unclear customer services, and unreliable sellers,” said co-founder and chief executive of Ticombo Atle Barlaup.
“We are totally committed to providing the ultimate fan experience, both through design and customer service. The payment process is no exception to this which is why we have chosen to partner with Mangopay, to offer the experience that our users deserve.”
Berlin-based company Ticombo aims to change how fans experience buying tickets for live events.
It offers a space where organisers, resellers, and fans can buy and sell tickets in a secure way.
The approach has proved to be successful as it is the most followed European reselling platform, with more than one million on Facebook alone.
“Ticombo is committed to providing a transparent and trustworthy service for its users, and we are delighted to support them in ensuring that this same exceptional experience applies across the payment process,” said Mangopay’s vice-president of global sales Tristan Torres Velat.
“The opportunity for users to re-spend their ticket funds through our wallet technology promises an even easier way for users to buy within the platform, ultimately supporting the growth of the business around the world. Solving these types of specific needs of marketplaces and platforms is what we do best, and we look forward to an exciting partnership with Ticombo.”
