We round up the latest appointment news from the ticketing sector and associated industries…
Scott Stienecker, founder and chief executive of Promowest Productions and regional vice-president of AEG Presents, has announced that he will retire at the end of 2024 following 46 years in the concert and live entertainment business.
Stienecker has produced more than 15,000 concerts, and has owned and operated 14 venues – including five the he helped to build from the ground up. He has also promoted stadium shows, arena shows, theatre performances, club shows, and music festivals across the Columbus, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati areas of the US.
“I feel like I have attained all the goals I set out for myself in the concert business, and I’m turning 65 in November, so this feels like the time,” said Stienecker, who will stay on with AEG Presents as a consultant through 2025.
Stienecker will hand over the reins of the Promowest Region to Jason Rogalewski and Justin Miller of AEG Presents’ Detroit-based Great Lakes regional office.
Fixr has appointed Martin Little as its marketing director, who will look to spearhead growth for the company. He previously spent four years with Eventbrite.
Tickadoo has brought in Paul Schroder as chief financial officer, who has previous experience in the sector with Trafalgar Entertainment.
“Paul’s experience is a perfect match for our goals at tickadoo. Together, we’re poised to redefine the landscape of city discovery, ticketing, and entertainment booking,” said Francis Heller, co-founder of Tickadoo.
Elsewhere, Jeff Sheldon has taken on the role of sales and partnership director, Europe, at Wicket. The company is specialised in facial authentication software for events.
ASM Global has promoted State Farm Stadium’s Melissa Wasson to general manager of the facility. Wasson has sent 19 years at the Glendale venue, and the last 13 as assistant general manager.
Sticking with ASM Global, Anna Nash and Mike O’Neil have been promoted to senior vice president of market development, and senior vice president of convention centres, respectively.
