West Virginia University Athletics and its Mountaineer Ticket Office have partnered with Paciolan, making the company its new student ticketing partner.
The move to Paciolan will see the implementation of a fully mobile platform and is hoped to enhance the student experience for events at Milan Puskar Stadium and the WVU Coliseum.
Students can sign up to the platform now using a single sign-on functionality which is the same as all access points across the university’s systems.
They can then request student tickets which become available on the Friday before the next game week.
A lottery function is also in play in case the number of requests go beyond the capacity.
On August 19, students will be able to request tickets for West Virginia University’s first American football match of the season.
The team is due to play Penn State on August 31 before six future matches made available on the student ticketing timeline.
Albany, Kansas, Iowa State, Kansas State, Baylor, and UCF are all due to travel to Morgantown to face the Mountaineers.
The university has issued a warning to students against reselling tickets.
“All students who are awarded a student ticket and will be attending a game are required to have a matching valid student ID to the name on their mobile ticket,” a WVU statement read.
“If a student does not present their valid student ID or the name does not match the mobile ticket, the student will not be admitted to the game.”
