Tixserve has announced a new partnership with England’s cricket-mad supporters’ club, the Barmy Army, marking its first foray into the cricket sector.
The provider of digital ticket delivery solutions will aid the Barmy Army in improving its travel and hospitality package offering.
Beginning with this summer, Tixerseve will power digital ticket packages for all England matches and events, including fan events, meet and greets, hospitality receptions, and Barmy Bingo, which takes place before or after England cricket fixtures at a nearby venue.
The deal will see Barmy Army transition from paper-based tickets to a seamless and efficient digital system. The new ‘Barmy Army Tickets’ app, powered by Tixserve, will help to streamline ticket distribution, reduce operational burdens, and enhance users’ experience.
The partnership will extend to overseas tour packages later this year.
Additionally, the collaboration aligns with the objectives set out by the International Cricket Supporters’ Committee (ICSC) initiated by the Barmy Army and the Cricket Supporters’ Association. The ICSC aims to unify cricket fans globally, providing a collective voice to make the game more inclusive and diverse.
“We are always looking for ways to improve our members’ experience, and streamlining our ticketing processes at home and abroad is a key part of this. We are delighted to be working with Tixserve to deliver a more modern customer experience whilst also streamlining what has historically been a labour intensive operation,” commented Adam Canning, commercial director of the Barmy Army. “
“We are excited to bring our innovative digital ticketing solution to the cricket sector through our partnership with Barmy Army,” added Patrick Kirby, managing director of Tixserve.
“Our technology will not only improve operational efficiency but also offer Barmy Army valuable insights to better serve and grow their global fan base.”
