Premier League club Arsenal has renewed its partnership with Ticketmaster Sport, further extending a partnership that has spanned three decades.
During the partnership, Arsenal has utilised Ticketmaster technology such as ticket exchange, ticket transfer and automated ballots. These features have enabled fans to purchase memberships online and begin the ticket application through a membership-restricted ballot.
The introduction of a ballot system for the 2023-24 system saw 420,000 tickets accessed by members via the new platform, or the ticket exchange and ticket transfer.
Arsenal has also been able to crackdown on season ticket-holders or members who circumvent the process to obtain tickets. The club has been tough on illegal ticket touting and bot activity, cancelling tens of thousands of memberships.
The automated ballot helped 20% more Red Members secure tickets for Arsenal matches last season, while Silver Members were three-times more likely to obtain a ticket than Red Members. Meanwhile, 9,000 tickets on average went through Ticket Transfer per Premier League match.
“With unprecedented demand for tickets across our men’s and women’s teams, it’s important we continue to serve our supporters the best and the most efficient experience when it comes to ticketing,” commented Tom McCann, venue director at Arsenal.
“We value the support we have had from Ticketmaster over such a long period and we’re pleased to be extending our relationship.”
Chris Gratton, managing director of Ticketmaster Sport, added: “Working with Tom and the Arsenal team since I joined Ticketmaster has been fantastic. It’s awesome to see our hard work and investment in technology, client support, and marketing really hitting the mark for Arsenal. I look forward to seeing our partnership growing for years to come.”
