Link My Ride, an app that enables cyclists to explore, plan and create group rides, has launched an in-app ticketing solution.

The new feature has been designed to simplify the event planning process, while improving efficiency and offering the opportunity to monetise group rides and events from cycling-focused organisers.

“I’m delighted to see the launch of ticketing. We are constantly gathering feedback on current and future features from our users to guide our product development, and this has been one of our most requested,” commented Link My Ride chief executive Jacques Sauvagnargues at the launch, as per cycling news platform Bikebiz.

“This milestone is the result of many months of dedicated work and represents a significant step towards realising our vision of creating a connected ecosystem for cyclists everywhere.”

The new system will allow organisers to create and promote their cycling events, monitor sign-ups and drive revenue. Payments will be handled by financial services company Stripe via an online payment portal within the Link My Ride app and website.

Additionally, the ticketing feature allows organisers to cap the number of sign-ups and registrations to adhere to guidelines from local federations and insurance requirements. The app also enables organisers to see all of their ticketed activities and use an in-app QR code scanner to scan attendees’ tickets.
