The deal marks the second for Tixserve in the cricket sector after recently partnering with England’s Barmy Army supporters group. The new app will be utilised for all cricket games hosted at Glamorgan’s home ground, Sophia Gardens, in Cardiff.
The Tixserve-powered app will cover general admission match tickets, hospitality events and member access.
“We are thrilled to partner with Tixserve to introduce the Sophia Gardens Ticketing app, which will provide an easy-to-use and intuitive digital ticketing experience for our members and supporters,” commented Ed Rice, commercial director at Glamorgan Cricket.
“This partnership represents a significant step in modernising our ticketing operations and enhancing the matchday experience, while also supporting our sustainability efforts. We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition by offering support to our supporters in the form of an app how-to guide and hands-on assistance during the rollout.”
Rice added: “Partnering with Tixserve, whose platform will be familiar to supporters who have been to events at Principality Stadium and Football Association of Wales (FAW), underscores our dedication to innovation and excellence in serving our members and the wider cricket community.”
The app will provide Glamorgan with insights into their customer base, allowing for more personalised and engaging experiences for guests.
Patrick Kirby, managing director of Tixserve, said: “We are delighted to partner with the prestigious Glamorgan Cricket and continue our expansion in the cricket sector.
“Our digital ticketing solution is designed to enhance fan experience and provide sporting organisations with the tools they need to thrive. We look forward to contributing to Glamorgan’s mission of growing and securing the game for future generations.”
