Brazilian ticketing company Ingresse has acquired Ticket Sports as it looks to expand its presence in the sports market.
Ticket Sports is one of the largest vendors of tickets for sports events in Latin America with clients such as Ironman, the São Silvestre Race, the Rio de Janeiro Marathon, L’Étape Brasil by Tour de France, Mountain Do and the Volta Internacional da Pampulha.
Ingresse also recently took over IngressoLive and VirtualTicket as part of a growth and diversification strategy.
“We are committed to being present in everything that is live and exciting. Sport, with its engagement and growth, is a fundamental pillar for our growth,” said Ingresse chief executive Gabriel Benarrós, according to Fusões e Aquisições.
“We are moving towards being one of those responsible for driving the search for a hybrid lifestyle, where sport complements daily experiences.”
It is claimed that the integration of operations at Ticket Sports will be carried out in a way that guarantees the security and longevity of its portfolio.
For Ticket Sports chief executive Daniel Krutman, he is excited for the opportunity to further improve the company’s services.
“We are excited about the possibilities this partnership brings,” he said.
“We believe that together we can take the experience for those attending sporting events to a new level.
“We want to take advantage of a new structure and Ingresse’s big picture thinking to evolve with technology and services to organisers.
“The main reason for this movement is to deliver intelligence, growth capacity and new revenue alternatives to organisers of sports experiences.”
