University of Texas students can now guarantee their seat inside Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium for American football fixtures with a new ticket claiming option provided by Texas Athletics.
Starting this Saturday (September 14) for the Longhorns’ match against the UTSA Roadrunners, students may claim a reserved student ticket located in the stadium’s upper level.
This will allow those who have purchased the Big Ticket annual sport pass to claim a reserved ticket to have a designated seat instead of relying on a first come, first serve basis which is expected to give more flexibility in arrival time.
Reserved student ticket holders will also be able to enter on the east side of the stadium separately from regular Big Ticket holders who must enter at Gate 25.
The University of Texas Athletics Department said it reviewed fan feedback regarding the ticket claiming process
This resulted in designing the new reserved ticket claiming system with the aim of providing students a hassle-free way to watch their team.
The Texas Longhorns are playing in the Southeastern Conference for the first time this season.
The team excelled last year in their final season in the Big 12 Conference as they won 12 games and lost two and won the Big 12 Championship.
