Kylie Minogue has announced her biggest world tour in more than a decade, with stops in the singer’s home country of Australia, Asia and the UK.
The ‘Tension’ tour is in support of Minogue’s comeback album Tension and follow-up Tension II.
Kicking off in Perth, Minogue will perform at the Australian city’s RAC Arena on February 15, Adelaide’s AEC Arena on February 18 and Rod Laver Arena on February 20-21.
Further stops in Australia include Brisbane Entertainment Centre on February 26 and Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on March 1-2. Asia stops include Bangkok, Tokyo, Kaohsiung in Taiwan, and Manila between March 10-17.
The UK schedule features stops at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on May 16, Newcastle’s Utilita Arena on May 17, and Manchester’s AO Arena on May 19. Dates are also pencilled in for Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on May 22, Sheffield’s Utilita arena on May 23, The O2 in London on May 26-27, Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on May 30 and bp pulse LIVE in Birmingham on May 31.
Writing Instagram, Minogue said: “You have no idea how hard it has been to keep all the planning and preparation from you. But it’s time and I can’t wait!”
Elsewhere, musical icon Stevie Wonder has announced a surprise US tour next month. The ‘Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart’ arena tour will begin next month, with 10 dates across the US.
Wonder will head to Pittsburgh, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Greensboro, Atlanta and Detroit, before performing in Milwaukee, Minneapolis and finishing up the tour on October 30 in Grand Rapids.
The 25-time Grammy winner will also be offering a portion of complimentary tickets to those “in our communities who are already working tirelessly to fix our nation’s broken heart”.
Tickets for the tour went on sale today (Friday).
