Our weekly tech round-up from the world of ticketing and associated industries…
Ticketing with mates
Online ticketing platform Showmates has introduced a new feature: Split & Share Tickets. The latest offering has been designed for friends and family to be able to share tickets effortlessly for concerts, festivals and events. Customers will be able gift or share tickets directly, making group bookings easier to manage.
Enforcing trust
Blockchain ticketing business Tixbase has partnered with MetaKeep to utilise its Root of Trust Network, which will seamlessly integrate into the Tixbase platform. The integration will offer hardware wallet security and empowering users with secure decentralised identity and asset ownership. Tixbase will also bond digital identity directly to each ticket to ensure that every ticket is tied to its rightful owner, preventing fraud and enhancing transparency.
Management & distribution
A new platform for ticket management and distribution has launched in the form of tkt(.com). The platform combines personalised hospitality services with round-the-clock customer support to meet the needs of both venues and customers. Tkt(.com) allows venues to connect with fans through multiple platforms simultaneously, maximising reach.
“With on-site support, collaboration during large-scale events, and exclusive opportunities to connect directly with fans, the launch of tkt(.com) represents a bold model in its ability to provide distinct and memorable experiences for fans,” said Jonathan Allen, chief revenue officer.
“This platform, backed by a strong leadership team with years of experience, is an industry tool designed to help venues gain a deeper understanding of what fans want to see in the future. We think this will be a game changer for venues across Europe and the UK because it will allow them to tap into data insights, streamline policies, and ensure major marketplaces are engaged for maximum profits.”
