Alistair Spiers has been appointed director of partnerships and premium for NEC Group after almost five years as head of sales at Leicester City Football Club.
Spiers (pictured left) will work with NEC Group properties such as Utilita Arena Birmingham and BP Pulse Live to drive revenue from partnerships.
Kilimanjaro Live has hired promoter Charlotte (Lottie) Bradshaw (pictured centre), who will primarily focus on Action! Presents, the company’s promoting brand for rock, metal and punk.
Bradshaw will also promote shows across a range of other genres, including pop and country.
She spent seven years at TEG Live Europe, and worked with venues such as Camden Assembly, XOYO and Trashed before becoming a promoter.
Shah-Zeib Ahmed (pictured right) has taken on a new role as ticket project lead for the U-17 FIFA Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
Downtown Music has promoted Gareth Mellor (pictured right) to senior vice president, global marketing and communications.
UK-based Mellor will oversee the global marketing and communication efforts across Downtown’s core divisions: publishing, distribution, artist and label services, and royalties and finances services.
Elsewhere, as part of Mixcloud’s acquisition of online music marketplace Encore, Mixcloud co-founder Nikhil Shah has joined Encore as chairman.

The Australian state of Queensland has appointed its first night-life economy commissioner in the form of John Collins.
Collins was a member of Brisbane-founded rock band Powderfinger, and will lead efforts across the state to make live music, festivals and nightclubs more sustainable by facilitating partnerships to encourage growth.
