A Golden opportunity
The Vegas Golden Knights National Hockey League (NHL) franchise has launched a new mobile app, offering fans a one-stop destination for tickets, team news, arena information and more. The Official Vegas Golden Knights mobile app was developed by Las Vegas-based company Everi, which has also become the official mobile application partner of the Vegas Golden Knights.
Supporting charity at no extra cost
Australian ticketing business Intix has introduced a new feature that allows event managers to include donations as add-ons for tickets at no extra charge. According to Intix, some ticketing providers would previously take a portion of the donation as part of the service.
Accelerating success
New York-based event planning and guest management platform Vow has been selected for the Fall 2024 cohort of Techstars Sports Powered by Indy. As part of the accelerator, Vow will join a group of 10 start-ups from six countries, engaging in a 13-week mentorship-driven programme designed to accelerate growth and enhance market presence within the sports ecosystem. This year’s cohort includes B2B and B2C start-ups from the US, Canada, England, Scotland, Israel and Norway, and spans a variety of sectors including ticketing, fan engagement, athlete wellness, player performance, and recreational sports.
Sky Blues go digital
English Championship football club Coventry City has introduced digital ticketing for fans visiting Coventry Building Society Arena. Fans will now be able to use their match tickets directly from their phone, with the ticket being stored in either their Apple Wallet or Google Pay Wallet. The digital delivery option was first available for Coventry’s match against Blackburn Rovers earlier this week, and is due for a full roll-out ahead of tomorrow’s (Saturday’s) game against Sheffield Wednesday.
