Norwegian DJ Alan Walker attracted 160,000 fans to the India leg of his WalkerWorld Tour across nine cities.
Presented by Indian electronic dance music (EDM) platform Sunburn, the tour has also become the highest-selling international tour in the country with record-breaking ticket sales.
The month-long trek featured stops in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Hyderabad, Prune, Shillong and Chennai. Performances featured surprise appearances from Bollywood actors, celebrated music composers and popular Indian singers.
In Mumbai, there was a dedicated family zone with activities for young children and noise-cancelling headphones to create an inclusive experience.
“This Sunburn Arena tour was nothing short of phenomenal. Alan Walker has once again proven why he’s one of the most influential artists in the EDM scene,” commented Karan Singh, chief executive of Sunburn.
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring this historic experience to fans across India. It is moments like these that make us truly proud as we continue to set the stage for the biggest EDM artists to bring their music to their community here in India.”
Over the summer, EDM festival Sunburn Goa announced it was set to return in December.
