Investment firm CVC, alongside KKR, has invested in Superstruct Entertainment to support its next phase of development.

KKR acquired Superstruct over the summer, with the transaction now closed. Superstruct owns and operates more than 80 music festivals across 10 countries in Europe and Australia, including Wacken Open Air, Defqon 1, Parookaville, Tinderbox, Zwarte Cross and Sónar.

Established in 2017, the group has now grown to include the UK’s Boardmasters festival and Hungary’s Sziget.

Superstruct will benefit from further expertise, resources and capital thanks to new backing.

KKR has experience with music, media and entertainment and has invested in companies such as music publishing, record business BMG and more.

Similarly, CVC has invested in the likes of Stage Entertainment, Formula 1, women’s tennis, and Spain’s LaLiga.
