Essex Cricket has confirmed SECUTIX as the club’s new exclusive ticketing technology partner.
The agreement will see Essex benefit from the full suite of SECUTIX solutions at the County Ground in Chelmsford. These include the introduction of secure mobile digital ticketing using the TIXNGO platform.
“We’re excited to be working with SECUTIX to bring our fans an easier and better ticketing experience,” said Eliza Rowley, Essex Cricket membership and ticketing manager.
“SECUTIX has a strong background in cricket, and we will lean on this experience to realise the full potential of some significant opportunities coming up for the club.
“2025 will see the start of our Tier One professional women’s team and we will mark our 150th anniversary the following year.
“The partnership means we have at our fingertips the latest technology to form a closer relationship with fans, and to deliver our ambitions for an enhanced customer experience.”
Digital-first fan experience
David Hornby, managing director of SECUTIX Northern Europe, UK & Ireland, commented: “There are great things in store for Essex across both the men’s and women’s game and we’re thrilled to come on board at this time.
“Bringing a digital-first fan experience will give Essex ownership of customer data. This in turn will allow the club to advance their digital marketing campaigns and unlock further commercial opportunities.
“We have a successful track record of achieving this for other cricket clubs and we look forward to bringing our expertise to Essex.”
SECUTIX’s existing cricket clients include the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2024, as well as seven other current first-class counties across the domestic game.
The club distributes over 75,000 tickets annually, with the first Essex tickets using SECUTIX going on sale in November. All members and supporters will be contacted soon via email with information regarding on sale dates and pricing for the 2025 season.
Last month, Hampshire CCC’s Utilita Bowl announced SECUTIX as its new ticketing technology partner.
