Nuweb Group, a provider of white label technology, has taken another step toward expanding its reach in the event management space.
The company, which began as a ticketing product, has added a number of features over the years – such as a seat map editor, access control, and lead capture.
Now, Nuweb Group has added ePOS to the product suite, a move driven by rising customer demand.
“This was a natural step for us,” said Jose San Miguel, managing director of Nuweb Group, explaining that the company’s client base has shifted toward “larger businesses that are consolidating their entire event operations onto our platform”.
The new ePOS system is intended to be an extension of Nuweb’s existing offerings, integrated with the rest of the product suite.
“Adding ePOS to our ticketing and access control setup means everything’s connected,” San Miguel explained. “Now, every step a guest takes, from buying a ticket to making their final purchase, stays within our ecosystem.”
San Miguel noted that feedback from customers has indicated a desire to move away from siloed systems. “Customers don’t want to manage data in one place, tickets in another, and then handle payments through yet another system,” he said.
The demand for more integrated solutions is part of a larger industry trend, with businesses increasingly opting for centralised platforms.
Echoing that sentiment, San Miguel explained: “When ticketing and ePOS are separate, businesses miss out on the full potential of shared functionality between box office, ticketing, bars, and merchandising.”
Although ePOS is already common within the events industry, particularly at festivals, Nuweb Group aims to extend its use to venues, bars, gift shops, and other retail environments.
Behind the scenes, the company has been quietly testing the system at select events to gather real-world feedback.
“The system has already been trialled at two festivals and even for school payments to prove its adaptability,” San Miguel said, revealing that £450,000 (€538,000/$588,000) worth of transactions were processed during the short trial period, with overwhelmingly positive feedback.
Nuweb Group has built a reputation for responding to customer demand by refining and expanding its platform.
“We’re laser-focused on improving our solutions. It’s important that we adapt to meet the evolving needs of our growing, globally distributed user base,” emphasised San Miguel.
In a highly competitive software market, Nuweb Group is positioning itself as more than just a service provider. The company aims to be a core component of its clients’ operations, delivering a comprehensive solution that fosters loyalty.
“We want to be the foundation clients build their success on, not just an add-on,” San Miguel said.
In a world where software offerings are a dime a dozen, Nuweb wants to be the one that not only sticks but thrives, by being indispensable to the people it serves.
