Ticketmaster Sport has been selected by World Rugby as the official ticketing service provider for the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup in England.
In the role, Ticketmaster is expected to bring top-tier digital ticketing tech to maximise the fan experience.
“Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 is going to transform the sport, both in the UK and around the world,” said chairman of Ticketmaster Sport Adam Newsam.
“We’re proud to help World Rugby set a new standard for fan experience, bring new audiences into the sport, and inspire the next generation of rugby players.”
Next year’s event is set to be the biggest ever women’s rugby tournament with 16 teams due to compete in eight different cities across England.
Demand for tickets to the tournament has already been positive.
“Ticketmaster is playing a key role in World Rugby’s vision to grow the women’s game globally, by making the sport more accessible and more relevant to a wider audience,” said the tournament’s managing director Sarah Massey.
“The public response to the tournament’s opening and finals matches pre-sale has been incredible with all the available 60,000 inventory snapped up in August and September. It is a record for Women’s Rugby World Cup, clearly cementing the event as the must-see sporting event of 2025 in the UK.”
The Rugby World Cup is set to take place from August 22 to September 27 next year and is the second time the tournament is being hosted by England after the 2010 edition.
