Broadway’s box office has maintained its positive position over last year’s revenue totals, with the 36 current productions raking in almost $33m (£25.5m/€31m).
For the week ending November 3, there was a slight dip in grosses on the week prior, but there was still an uptick on 2023 – though this could also be attributed to fewer shows running.
The week’s totals amounted to $33.9m, while the same week during 2023 saw 28 productions bring in $26.5m.
Attendances for the week ending November 3 remained consistent, up 0.1% on the week before. The number of guests totalled 281,801, equating to 85.7% capacity. This was 1.7% down on the week starting October 27.
The highest grossing production was the musical Wicked – performing at the Gershwin Theatre – which raked in nearly $2.3m, followed by Sunset Blvd. at St. James Theatre and Hamilton at Richard Rodgers Theatre on $1.72m and $1.71m, respectively.
