MotoGP’s season finale will raise funds for those affected by the recent floods in southern and eastern Spain, with more than 30,000 tickets already sold for the event.
Originally due to take place in Valencia – an area devastated by the floods – the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya stepped in to host earlier this week.
Now named the Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona, the weekend will not only see the 2024 champion crowned, but also raise vital funding. A portion of ticket sales from the Solidarity GP will go directly to Valencia relief funds. Those that had purchased tickets for the original MotoGP event in Valencia can apply for a refund, or rollover their tickets for 2025.
There will also be three auctions – two onsite in the fanzone and one online. MotoGP riders will feature on stage, joined by legends and VIPs, to auction items donated from across the paddock.
Additionally, a special #RacingForValencia t-shirt has been produced, with proceeds going directly to the relief effort.
Funds raised from tickets sales, auctions, donations and t-shirt sales will be centralised into a specific MotoGP system, thanks to the motorsport series’ collaboration with CaixaBank. These funds will then be donated to La Cruz Roja (Red Cross).
The Solidarity Grand Prix will take place from November 15-17.
