F1 Live tickets have already appeared on resale platforms for up to almost £1,200 (€1,434/$1,516) each, after passes sold out in just 45 minutes.
The launch event has been forged by Formula 1 to celebrate the 75th season of the sport, and will take place at London’s O2 Arena on February 18, 2025. All 10 teams will unveil their latest liveries ahead of the 2025 season, with all 20 drivers and team principals present.
Tickets went on sale for between £58 and £113 (not including booking fees) on Friday.
A search of Viagogo shows tickets priced at £1,197, with the cheapest resale tickets costing £109 each.
F1 bosses warned fans not to purchase tickets from unofficial marketplaces.
“We are aware that a few tickets for our season launch event at The O2 have been listed on unofficial resale websites,” read an F1 statement.
“We can confirm that this is against the terms and conditions of sale and that any tickets bought through an unofficial resale platform are not valid for entry.
“Working with The O2 we have also identified that a number of the listings are fraudulent. We advise all our fans to only buy tickets through theo2.co.uk or via AXS Official Resale.”
The 2025 season will begin with the Australian Grand Prix from March 14-16 and conclude on December 5-7 with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
