Global Citizen Festival is set to head to Latin America for the first time in November next year.

The event titled Global Citizen Festival: Amazonia will take place at the Estádio Olímpico do Pará in Belém, Brazil. The exact date is yet to be confirmed but the plan is to coincide with the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), which is scheduled for November 10-21, 2025 also in Belém.

The news was announced during the Global Citizen NOW: Rio de Janeiro action summit over the weekend, where the international advocacy organisation also launched its new Power Our Planet: Take Action Now campaign, which will culminate with the festival.

In a press release, Global Citizen said: “In keeping with previous Global Citizen Festivals, the event will feature some of the world’s biggest artists alongside Brazilian and Indigenous artists, all united to defend the planet. Global citizens will be able to earn free tickets to the event by taking action in support of the Power Our Planet campaign.”

The campaign is an urgent effort to galvanise millions of people to call on world leaders and the private sector to protect the earth, through the ending of deforestation, accelerating a just energy transition and supporting communities staring down the barrel of climate change.

Further details about Global Citizen Festival: Amazonia, including performers, sustainability efforts, show date, ticketing information and more will be announced in the coming months.

The most recent Global Citizen Festival took place in New York in September, headlined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers with 60,000 in attendance.
