LFC rolls out SSO process
English Premier League club Liverpool FC has rolled out its Single Sign On (SSO) process, which will simplify the way supporters log into and use club websites and apps. The new system allows supporters to have one single log-in for club services including ticketing and memberships.
Entry
Over the coming months, Dutch football club Feyenoord and Stadion Feijenoord will undertake several pilots to test a system with personal access. The plan is to make the access procedure fully digital in the 2025-26 season. The introduction of a new system will make home games safer, while supporters will have a fairer chance of securing tickets as the use of fake accounts or unofficial tickets is more difficult with the system.
Integrated payments
Shift4 has partnered with BSE Global, the parent company of Barclays Center, the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and the 2024 WNBA Champions the New York Liberty. Shift4 will power the venue’s ticketing, food and beverage and retail transactions. Elsewhere, Shift4 has also linked up with the San Antonio Spurs, becoming the NBA team’s official integrated payment technology partner.
Fanbase
Cymru Premier football club Haverfordwest County AFC has brought in fan engagement and ticketing platform, Fanbase. The football club will be able to house all of its digital content in one place, providing supporters with an improved experience.
