Secutix, DataDome launch new bot protection system

Secutix has launched a new bot protection system tailored for the ticketing sector.

The new system is the result of a partnership with software company DataDome. The Secutix Bot-Protect Pack, powered by DataDome, will secure ticket shops and sales from online fraud and bot attacks. 

It has been designed for Secutix clients in the sports, live entertainment and cultural sectors, which can be vulnerable to industrial-scale cyberattacks. The Bot-Protect Pack is already available with a free one-month trial for Secutix customers.

“With DataDome as our partner, we are better equipped than ever to tackle cyber threats. Our clients can integrate the Bot-Protect Pack all year round or for one-off events, ensuring maximum security for their website, mobile app, and APIs,” said Frédéric Longatte, chief executive of Secutix.

“It will save clients up to 90% of the time previously spent managing online fraud and bot issues and, most importantly, significantly help get tickets into the hands of true fans.”

The new feature will effectively identify and neutralise threats such as website scraping, credential stuffing, vulnerability scanning, and fake account creation. It facilitates real-time decision-making and can precisely pinpoint which areas of a website are under siege.

Secutix and DataDome previously worked together on a major football tournament, during which DataDome identified up to 90% of traffic as being malicious before blocking it. DataDome’s solution led to a 99% reduction in account takeover fraud for the tournament.
