Our weekly tech round-up from the world of ticketing and associated industries…
Ending on a High Note
Bandsintown has joined the end-of-year fun with the likes of Spotify’s Wrapped, Apple Music’s Replay and YouTube Music’s Recap by offering 2024 High Notes, a personalised recap of every fan and artist’s year in live music. Fans will receive a summary of the shows and venues they went to, and the new artists and genres they followed. The live music discovery platform has a growing community of 93 million registered fans.
Streamlined user interface
Ticketoo, a fan-to-fan ticketing platform, has announced the launch of its revamped app. Designed with a user-centric approach, the new app hopes to offer a fluid, secure and enjoyable experience for buying and selling tickets to concerts, sporting events, theatre and more. The app boasts a new streamlined user interface, enhanced security, seamless transactions and personalised features with tailored recommendations and notifications.
Name, image and likeness
TFL (Tickets for Less), a live event ticketing and technology company, has introduced a new way for fans to support student-athletes through their name, image and likeness (NIL). NIL Seats will provide schools and NIL collections with a branded e-commerce marketplace that offers tickets to live events, including concerts, matches and shows across the US. Fifty percent of the order proceeds on the website will go to the school or collective to benefit student-athletes.
Music from all angles
Polygon Live LDN, an immersive 360-degree live music experience, is set to make its UK debut at Crystal Palace Park in London. It will be the largest outdoor spatial audio festival to be held in the UK, with the event taking place across three nights from May 2-4, 2025. Artists will perform in a brand-new dual-dome design; the hemispherical domes are a signature look for Polygon.
