Bad Bunny is set to perform a 30-date residency at the 18,500-capacity Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan from July 11 to August 24 this year.
The residency follows the release of his sixth studio album “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” and will be titled No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí.
The first nine shows of the residency will be for local residents only, with tickets for those only available from today for in-person purchase at various locations in Puerto Rico.
“Thanks to music and the love you give me through my music, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to sing in different places of the world. I appreciate and love to do it,” Bad Bunny said on social media.
“There are places I for sure will return to like Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia.
“And some I’ve never been to but would like to visit, like Brazil and Japan. And there are places I haven’t been to in a long time, like Italy, London, Spain. I promise before the year ends, I’ll tell you the date and time I will be visiting. But for now, I’m in Puerto Rico. I’m home, having fun and, to be honest, I don’t want to leave.”
The concerts are due to take place every weekend, running from Friday to Sunday.
The Grammy Award-winning artist has described his latest album as his “most Puerto Rican” yet for its lyrics on the island’s political issues including gentrification.
The record was released on January 5 and debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, marking the star’s seventh top-10 charting LP.
