Superstruct Entertainment has acquired music streaming platform Boiler Room from independent ticketing and discovering company, Dice.

Dice first acquired the electronic music livestream platform in 2021.

The acquisition was announced after Dice had secured $122m (£149m/€118m) in a Series C funding round, which was led by investor SoftBank Vision Fund 2.

Dice will remain the official ticketing partner for Boiler Room, which will also retain leadership of the business under Superstruct’s ownership.

Global investment firm KKR acquired Superstruct Entertainment from Providence Equity Partners for an undisclosed fee in June last year.

Superstruct is a European live entertainment group which owns and operates more than 80 music festivals across 10 different countries.

Established in 2017 by Providence, the group has grown its portfolio to include festivals such as the UK’s Boardmasters festival, Hungary’s Sziget and Defqon.1 in the Netherlands. Defqon.1 has also previously held events in Chile and Australia.

Investment firm CVC further backed Superstruct Entertainment in October to support its next phase of development.
