Our weekly tech round-up from the world of ticketing and associated industries…

Transforming the fan experience

Fanbase has partnered with Cornwall Rugby Football Union (CRFU) to focus on transforming the fan experience. Fans will now benefit from a new digital experience that will offer content, ticketing, and more. Fans will be able to purchase tickets and store them in their Apple or Google Wallet, allowing for easy access on matchday.

“We are delighted to partner with the Cornwall RFU moving forward. It has been a real pleasure to work with Ashley on this and we are all looking forward to seeing the benefits of our partnership for the supporters of Rugby in Cornwall and also the CRFU organisation both for this season’s fixtures and into the future,” commented Kevin Russell, Fanbase’s business development manager.

A key acquisition

Events.com has acquired the key assets from Remo, a virtual technology product that provides immersive and interactive digital environments for events, webinars, conferences and more. Remo’s technology will be added to Events.com’s product suite, delivering enhanced options for digital engagement.

Speeding up entry

Ticketbud has introduced a new Integrated Waiver feature that speeds up event entry by enabling event organisers to collect signatures and scan tickets seamlessly at check-in. This will eliminate the need for third-party waiver software and a two-step check-in process. The tool sees each waiver processed individually, even when tickets are purchased in bulk – providing another layer of accountability and security.

Tim McGraw

StubHub has been named as the official ticketing partner for Tim McGraw’s concert at the Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville, Iowa, which will take place in August. The ticket marketplace was chosen by promoter and event organiser, the US Concert Agency.
