The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau have launched a dedicated ticketing page on the city’s official tourism website, Go Tokyo.

Go Tokyo provides domestic and international travellers with information on the Japanese city’s events and tourist attractions.

Visitors will benefit from a seamless way to book tickets for events and activities such as sumo wrestling and kabuki theatre, all the way through to traditional craft experiences. The new ‘Events and Tickets’ page will provide support in nine languages and will act as a one-stop site for attraction information.

The page offers ticket information for roughly 110 offerings such as concerts, tours, cultural experiences and more. Tickets will be available in advance and for same-day events and performances.

Japan has experienced a record number of visitors, with 36.8 million tourists travelling to the country last year. This exceeded the previous record of 31.8 million set in 2019, according to the Japan National Tourism Organisation.
